Frequently Asked Questions: How much of my time will be required?

We try to make your participation in the IDC's Enterprise Panel as convenient as possible. Periodically, we will contact you via email to request your opinions in an online survey. You will be able to complete these surveys at a time that is convenient for you either at work or at home. Surveys can typically be answered in 15 minutes or less unless otherwise indicated in your invitation or on the welcome page of the survey itself.

How are my answers going to be used?

Your information is used in aggregate, and is never shared outside of IDC. For more information about our privacy policy, click here. Your answers will be used to help guide future information technology product and service offerings that will reach the market. Technology and service companies are always looking for better ways to meet the needs of consumers, professionals, and individual workers. Please be assured that your answers will be kept confidential and will never be associated with you or your company. We will not sell your name or your address to any company. No products or services will be marketed to you as a result of your participation in IDC's Enterprise Panel. Any reports that are prepared will show findings in aggregate only. Your survey data will not be used for marketing or sales purposes.

How do I opt out of the panel?

You can opt out of the panel at any time by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link within any survey invitation. If you would like to unsubscribe prior to that time, please email us at idcenterprisepanel@idc.com and we will remove you from the panel.

Where do I report survey-related issues?

Please email any difficulties, comments or suggestions pertaining to specific surveys to idcenterprisepanel@idc.com.

What are your membership policies?

We expect the following of our members:

That you provide true and accurate information to the best of your ability That you keep all information and concepts within surveys confidential and do not attempt to copy, print, or download any part of any survey That you provide accurate background data about yourself That you register only once as a panelist and do not attempt to take the same survey multiple times or register with multiple accounts

We do not have any specific policies regarding the number of surveys that should be completed each year. Based upon the background information you have provided to us, we will attempt to invite you to surveys that we believe will be relevant and interesting to you. You may choose to respond to those invitations as you wish, so long as you do not attempt to participate more than once. You will continue to be solicited for surveys regardless of participation until such time as you opt out of the panel or we no longer have updated information for you.

What if my personal information changes?

To report changes to your personal information, please notify us via email at idcenterprisepanel@idc.com.
